An Aspiring Savelugu Constituency Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yussif Amuda has called for a reorganization of the party’s structures at the grassroots level ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
According to him, strengthening the party structures will go a long way to help the NPP win the 2024 elections and break the “two term syndrome” which the party has dubbed as “Breaking the Eight”.
“If the Party has well-organized Structure, winning Elections will be easier. We need to revisit and revise our Notes and Diaries of strengthening the party Structure at the Grassroots level and when the Grassroots become Stronger, the party will be Strong since they (The Grassroots) are the Foundation of the Party” Mr Amuda said in a statement issued in Savelugu.
“Let’s Structure our great N.P.P Party at the Grassroots level to strengthen our Party Chance of Breaking the Two-Term syndrome (Breaking the Eight).” he added.
He said elections are not only won with policies but also by the structures of the party at “ It is not always about the Policies, most of the time,it is the Party Structure at the Grassroots level that wins Elections he stressed”.
The Aspiring Youth Organizer also called for the introduction of the position of ‘Nasara Coordinator’ at the Polling Station level, this he said will get the party base to work effectively.
“I will strongly advocate through our Northern Regional Executives to the National level for us (N.P.P) to reconstitute the base of the party by adding a Nasara Coordinator to the existing five executives and again give each of them a deputy to bring the number of our executives at the base or Polling Stations level to twelve. This is what we call mobilisation drive in a Political Party. Expand your base and get them to work. Politics they say is about numbers. “ he noted.
