Islamic Counselor, Dr Al-Hussein Zakaria has called for mandatory counseling session for young muslim couples before marriage.
This he believes will save a lot of marriages from crumbling, few weeks after wedding.
Dr Al-Hussein said it is worrying that most Islamic marriages nowadays cannot stand the test of time.
Speaking on the relevance of counseling in Islam, the revered Islamic Scholar told Mumuni Yirifa Yunus on the Super Morning Show on Tuesday, Dr Al-Hussein said the growing number of failed Islamic marriages especially in the Tamale Metropolis could be attributed to the inability of couples to get to know each other well enough before tying the knot.
He said if counseling is made mandatory for Islamic couples like it is done in Indonesia and other parts of the world, it will help young couples to understand their partners and what entails in the institution of marriage.
