The Savanah Regional Communications Director of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) broke down in tears on Tuesday while discussing the gruesome murder of Social Media Activist, Ibrahim Mohammed alias Kaaka.

Prince Shiraz could not control his tears, while speaking on the circumstances that led to the murder of the 40 year old man.

He was part of a panel reviewing the murder of Kaaka on Radio Justice’s Super Morning Show on Tuesday with host Mumuni Yirifa Yunus.

The outspoken PPP communicator said it was painful that Kaaka was killed because “he was demanding for a better Ghana” .

“What is wrong if I talk about the development challenges of my area? Why should I lose my life because I simply want authorities to fix my community?” Prince Shiraz quizzed.

He said if people cannot criticize wrong doings in the country, then our democracy is under threat.

Prince Shiraz urged the police to ensure the perpetrators of the heinous crime are brought to book.

He said it was the failure of the police to arrest and prosecute perpetrators of such crimes in the past that has empowered others to continue to murder innocent people.

“When it happened to Major Maxwell Mahama what happened? Has the killers of Ahmed Suale been brought to book? When military men opened fire on civilians in Techiman South and killed 7, who has been arrested? These are some of the reasons why these things continue to happen” he said.
